Our employees, customers, and partners should be confident that we are responsible for respecting human and labour rights.
With us, this is ensured through our HSE system, our ethical guidelines and our focus on the environment and sustainability within ourselves and our suppliers.
This is a continuous process and a recurring topic at internal gatherings and meetings. To live up to our ambitions, we have established our control system, which is, in turn, constantly being evaluated and improved.
For our part, 2024 was characterised by consolidation within this area. In addition, we continue to focus on strengthening and developing other parts of our quality system. We decided to establish a reporting channel for critical matters, which will be available in mid-2025.
We have a stable base of suppliers.
These companies share our most important values, which were previously evaluated as part of our due diligence assessments. No objectionable matters have been identified at any of these during 2024. Our NHO Logistikk & Transport membership gives us access to information and valuable tools in this work. Many of our suppliers and partners belong to the same organisation, ensuring a common understanding and knowledge sharing within the areas required by law.
One area that NHO LT focuses on is reputation and recruitment. This is linked to the requirements set by law. We work to appear as an attractive workplace, supplier, and social actor. Success in this area requires meeting the requirements of the Transparency Act.
As mentioned in previous reports, most of our foreign suppliers are affiliated with the World Cargo Alliance, which ensures high compliance with their respective countries’ laws and international agreements.
After we risk-assessed and evaluated our most important suppliers in the first year of the law, through regular contact, we still have a reasonable basis for claiming that they live up to our expectations, which thus also meet the requirements set by the Transparency Act.
However, we will formally conduct a new due diligence assessment this year.. This will include new areas and/or perspectives to better document the basis for making the right choices.
